EU4SocialSecurity: keep your social security coverage while staying mobile

Keen to live or work in another European country? The EU4SocialSecurity campaign helps you understand how to stay protected by social security, exercise your rights to assistance and benefits in the country you're living or working in, and to comply with your obligations when you're moving across borders.

These rights can include:

  • child benefits (e.g. for dependent children)
  • sick pay or maternity allowance
  • unemployment benefits
  • retirement benefits
  • compensation for workplace accidents

Whatever your status (employee, self-employed or employer), you'll find clear information about staying protected on your journey. This initiative is led by the European Labour Authority (ELA), which ensures that your rights are respected throughout Europe.
