On 30 September 2024, Minister Caroline Gennez left the Federal Government to become the Flemish Minister of Welfare and the Fight against Poverty, Culture and Equal Opportunities in the new Flemish Goverment. Her federal powers of Development Cooperation and of the Major Cities Policy will be taken over by Mr. Frank Vandenbroucke, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health.
